The Information and Decision Support Center at the Cabinet published an infographic detailing the implementation and operational status of the Ministry of Local Development’s projects under the presidential initiative “Hayah Karima” (“Decent Life”), which aims to improve the quality of life and transform rural Egypt by providing integrated services to citizens.
The infographic indicated that, at the start of the new year, a total of 17 projects are in the final stages of completion, including fire stations, modern markets, and transportation hubs, as part of completing the basic service infrastructure in the targeted villages.
The center noted that 129 projects have already been put into operation, while the remaining projects will be gradually launched at the beginning of the new year. Additionally, a comprehensive study is being prepared to allocate the newly constructed housing units under the initiative.
The infographic also highlighted that 5,545 plots of land have been provided, representing all the land required for the projects, and 332 government service complexes have been received, furnished, and made operational across 20 governorates, facilitating citizens’ access to various government services.
Regarding completed projects, the center specified that they included 122 fire stations, 90 public transportation hubs, and 122 modern markets.
The infographic confirmed that these efforts are part of Egypt’s national vision to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, enhance the efficiency of local services, and improve the standard of living for citizens in villages and areas most in need, in line with the objectives of the “Hayah Karima” initiative.
