During 2025, the Academy organized 26 cultural seminars across various fields, alongside two international conferences—the first addressing intellectual property issues, and the second exploring Egyptian literature from past to present.

Artistic events were equally diverse, including 18 visual arts exhibitions, 18 musical performances—notably by the Orchestras of Light and Hope, the Arab Youth Orchestra, and the Italian Military Music Ensemble—alongside 4 folk (traditional) performances, 2 cinema events, 2 theater workshops, and 3 visual arts workshops.

To engage the public, the Academy held 20 events opening the doors to visitors at the Museum of Tutankhamun Replicas, promoting awareness of ancient Egyptian civilization and strengthening cultural ties with European communities.

The Academy also hosted major celebrations, including National Day and July Revolution commemorations organized by the Vatican Embassy in Italy, an event marking the Grand Egyptian Museum opening organized by the Egyptian Embassy in Rome, and a celebration coordinated with the Embassy of Iraq.

Key cultural initiatives launched during the year included:

  • “Egypt Lover” initiative
  • Egypt–Italy Academic Cooperation initiative
  • Eight Weeks of Ancient Egyptian Civilization
  • Egyptian Academy and Arab Civilization initiative

Looking ahead, the Academy plans to sign three international agreements with prominent Italian institutions to further strengthen cultural and artistic cooperation. It has also proudly raised the Egyptian flag within the campus and at the Egyptian pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

In 2025, the Academy received several valuable artistic donations, including paintings by Ragheb Ayad and Umm Kulthum (Kawkab al-Sharq), along with works by distinguished Egyptian visual artists. It also welcomed numerous important Arabic and foreign books, enriching the Academy’s library collection.

The Academy published four books: the first documenting its history from inception to present, the second on intellectual property, the third on Egyptian literature past and present, and the fourth reviewing the Academy’s cultural and artistic achievements for the 2024–2025 season.

Throughout the year, the Academy collaborated with numerous prominent cultural institutions, including: the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Italian Parliament, La Sapienza University, Tor Vergata University, Rome University of Fine Arts, FAI Foundation, Municipality of Rome, Municipality of Forano, Santa Cecilia Conservatory, Public Funds Investigation Department, the Belgian Academy, the Philharmonic Academy, the Russian House, Confartigianato Foundation, Naguib Mahfouz School in Milan, and the Libyan School.

Academy Director Dr. Rania Yehia participated in numerous international events, seminars, and conferences, and published a children’s book, “Egypt My Country”, in Arabic and Italian, promoting the Academy and encouraging cultural tourism to Egypt.

Dr. Yehia expressed her delight in hosting these significant cultural and artistic activities, emphasizing that they reflect the Academy’s role as a beacon of Egyptian culture abroad, building bridges of cultural cooperation between Egypt and European society from the heart of Rome.
