The Egyptian Red Crescent is participating in the “Diarna” Handicrafts and Heritage Exhibition, held under the slogan “Egypt Speaks Craft” in El Gouna, Red Sea Governorate, from December 25 to January 2, under the patronage of Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity and Vice President of the Egyptian Red Crescent.

As part of its efforts to support and empower women and family-run businesses, and to provide sustainable marketing platforms for handicrafts and heritage products, the exhibition and resource development teams are showcasing handmade products created by women’s clubs at Egyptian Red Crescent branches.

The Egyptian Red Crescent pavilion features a special display of traditional Sinai crafts made by trainees and volunteers from the North Sinai branch, in addition to Khayamiya textiles produced by women’s clubs affiliated with the Egyptian Red Crescent, crafted by women from family-run businesses and trainees.

Products from participating family-run businesses include leather crafts, handmade carpets, crochet works, jewelry, and accessories.

In line with its humanitarian and community efforts, the Egyptian Red Crescent dedicates the proceeds from these sales to support its relief services locally and internationally, in addition to its national role in supporting vulnerable families.
