Al-Jisr – Exclusive

The Egyptian Red Crescent launched the 89th convoy of “Zad Al-Izza … from Egypt to Gaza”, carrying a number of trucks loaded with urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. This comes as part of its ongoing efforts as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.

On its 89th run, the convoy delivered tons of urgent humanitarian assistance, including 256,000 food baskets, approximately 600 tons of flour, over 3,400 tons of essential medical and relief supplies, and more than 1,000 tons of fuel materials needed by the sector.

The convoy also included essential winter supplies to alleviate the suffering of residents, which comprised over 60,000 blankets, 55,300 winter clothing items, 200 mattresses, and more than 14,500 tents for sheltering the affected, within the framework of Egypt’s efforts to provide relief support to the people of Gaza.

It is worth noting that the “Zad Al-Izza … from Egypt to Gaza” convoys, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, have carried thousands of tons of aid, including food supply chains, flour, infant milk, medical supplies, medications, personal care items, and fuel.

The Egyptian Red Crescent continues to operate as the national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to Gaza, maintaining its presence at the border since the start of the crisis. The Rafah crossing has not been fully closed from the Egyptian side, and the Red Crescent continues its preparedness across all logistical centers and its ongoing efforts to deliver aid, which has exceeded half a million tons of humanitarian and relief assistance, supported by 35,000 volunteers.
