By Lujain Tarek – Al-Gisr

The Egyptian Red Crescent announced that it has raised the level of maximum readiness across all its branches nationwide, in preparation to support state authorities in dealing with the potential impacts of unstable weather conditions. Moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected on the northwestern coasts and northern Delta in the coming hours, with heavier rainfall likely in the areas of Sallum and Matrouh, and varying intensities extending to Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and reaching as far as Halayeb and Shalateen.

The central operations room continues to enhance the efficiency and preparedness of all Egyptian Red Crescent branches to respond to the storm “Qasim,” expected to begin this evening and affect the northern coasts, the Delta, and Greater Cairo, according to the Meteorological Authority.

The Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed its ongoing full coordination with the relevant authorities and its readiness to provide relief services, logistical support, and first aid, assisting residents in affected areas to ensure a fast and effective response across the governorates.
