Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwa Continues Its Scholarly, Religious, and Community Role Throughout 2025

El Gisr news platform published an infographic issued by the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwa, reviewing the center’s scholarly, religious, and community achievements throughout 2025, as part of its mission to promote enlightened moderation, engage with contemporary human issues, and enhance intellectual, family, and social stability.
The infographic showed that during 2025 the center issued more than 1,785,610 fatwas, in addition to 21,435 fatwas in foreign languages, clearly highlighting the international dimension of Al-Azhar’s role and its efforts to communicate with diverse cultures and communities around the world.
Regarding its community and family-support role, the infographic explained that the Family Reunification Unit successfully dealt with 205,000 families since its launch in 2018. The center also provided 4,310,349 family and community consultations, held 95,907 family awareness sessions, and implemented 137 courses for those preparing for marriage since the program began.
In terms of psychological support, the center’s Psychological Support Unit provided services to 62,535 cases, reflecting an integrated approach that combines religious, psychological, and social dimensions in addressing societal issues.
On the scholarly front, the center issued 7,426 statements and conducted 2,240 research papers and academic reviews, in addition to 580 Hebrew studies, 439 specialized sermons and reports, and 12 cultural salons, underscoring the center’s strong intellectual and academic presence in contemporary issues.
With regard to media and digital outreach, the infographic indicated that the center achieved 16,100 media mentions, carried out 17,723 activities related to media coordination and communication, published 19,281 digital posts, monitored 3,664 pieces of audio-visual content, and conducted 210 live broadcasts.
The infographic confirmed that these integrated efforts contributed to the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwa receiving the Arab Government Excellence Award in 2024 and the Egyptian Government Excellence Award in 2023, in recognition of its institutional role in serving society and consolidating the approach of moderation and balance.
This diverse performance reflects Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s role, through its Global Center for Electronic Fatwa, in presenting a contemporary religious discourse that balances authenticity and modernity, responds to real-life challenges, and promotes the values of social stability and peace.
