The National Council for Women continues to monitor women’s participation in the rerun of constituencies annulled by judicial rulings from the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections.

Dr. Nesreen El-Baghdadi, Vice Chairperson of the National Council for Women, inspected the Council’s central operations room to monitor women’s participation on the second day of voting in the rerun of the 19 constituencies annulled by judicial rulings from the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections. The visit was attended by Eman Khalifa, Secretary-General and Head of the Operations Room; Dr. Rasha Mahdy, Council member and Coordinator of the Political Participation Committee and General Supervisor of the Room’s work; Dalia Hamdy, Director General of Council Branches; Yasmin Zakaria, Director General of Campaigns and Awareness; and Samah Abdel Nafea, Director General of Program Planning.
Dr. El-Baghdadi expressed her appreciation for women’s participation in the governorates holding the rerun elections, listened to reports and feedback from provincial coordinators to track voter turnout from the early hours of the second day, and ensured that the voting process was proceeding smoothly across the various polling stations.
The rerun in the annulled constituencies from the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections is taking place in the governorates of Giza, Assiut, Fayoum, Alexandria, Beheira, Sohag, and Qena.
