The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, a member of the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work, participated in the Volunteer Day celebration held at Cairo University, alongside a number of partner institutions and civil society organizations within the Alliance.

The celebration witnessed active participation from the Coptic Evangelical Organization through the attendance of 65 male and female volunteers, who took part in various activities and events of the celebration.

This celebration coincided with the International Volunteer Day, which is observed annually in December, reaffirming the importance of volunteer work as one of the pillars of sustainable development and community building.

During the events, the “Insan” platform was launched. This platform was established by the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work and aims to encourage youth to register and participate in volunteer activities, highlight successful youth models in the field of volunteering and benefit from their experiences, as well as create a unified database for volunteers to help organize efforts and avoid duplication.

The Coptic Evangelical Organization affirms that volunteer work has been one of the core foundations of its approach since its establishment, as it relies on the principle of community participation in planning and implementation, in addition to supporting and building the capacities of community leaders capable of creating positive and sustainable change within local communities.

The ongoing partnership between the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services and the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work reflects an effective model of institutional cooperation in the field of volunteering, contributing to maximizing the impact of volunteer work and its role in serving Egyptian society.
